7-Day Lake Natron and Northern Circuit Safari Tour – Tanzania Wildlife Experience

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Known for its majestic baobab trees, diverse habitats, and largest elephant population in Tanzania, Tarangire is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot overlooking the river, where sightings of elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, and more are common. Late afternoon, continue game viewing before heading to your lodge.

Leave early for Lake Natron (approx. 8-hour drive), a surreal, off-the-beaten-path destination near Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred Maasai volcano. Upon arrival, explore the volcanic landscapes and soda lake famous for its pink flamingos.

Optional (Day 3 Early Morning): For adventure seekers, climb Ol Doinyo Lengai starting before dawn to catch sunrise from the summit, followed by rest and recovery at your lodge.

Today you’ll head west toward Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Highlands, pausing to enjoy panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater rim.

By afternoon, arrive in the Serengeti, where vast plains stretch endlessly and wildlife sightings begin immediately. Look out for lions, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebras, and more as you drive to your tented camp.

Morning Game Drive – Sunrise in the Wild

Your day begins early, just before sunrise, when the savannah comes alive with activity. After a light breakfast or with packed breakfast boxes, you set out in a 4×4 safari vehicle with your professional guide.

This is one of the best times to witness predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they hunt in the cool morning air. You may also spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of antelope grazing peacefully across the plains.

The soft morning light creates perfect conditions for photography, offering stunning views of the endless Serengeti landscape.

Midday – Picnic Lunch in the Bush

Around midday, you will stop at a designated picnic site within the park to enjoy your lunch. Surrounded by nature, you can relax and take in the beauty of the Serengeti while watching animals roam nearby.

Your guide will ensure a safe and comfortable environment as you enjoy your meal in the heart of the wilderness.

Afternoon Game Drive – Exploring Deeper

After lunch, continue your game drive as you explore different areas of the park. Depending on the season, your guide may take you to regions where wildlife activity is highest.

If you are traveling during the migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Other highlights include spotting hyenas, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.

Each game drive is unique, offering new sightings and unforgettable moments.

Evening – Sunset in the Serengeti

As the day comes to an end, enjoy a scenic drive back to your lodge or camp while watching the spectacular African sunset. The sky transforms into shades of orange, pink, and gold, providing a perfect ending to your safari day.

Today is your Ngorongoro Crater safari, where you’ll descend 600 meters into a world-renowned volcanic caldera. With nearly every species of African wildlife in one location, the crater offers unmatched opportunities to see the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino.

Visit Lake Magadi, home to flamingos and hippos, and enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending back to your lodge in Karatu.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 1 hour). Known for its tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, and birdlife (including flocks of flamingos), the park offers a rich blend of forest, lake, and savannah.

Optional: Canoeing experience on the lake (at extra cost), or cultural visit to nearby Mto wa Mbu village.

After your game drive, return to Arusha and settle in for your final night.

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred by road to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight.
