2-Day Fly-In &out Safari from Zanzibar – Tarangire & Lake Manyara Wildlife Tour

Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where your professional safari guide will greet you upon arrival. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic 2-3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its vast savannahs dotted with ancient baobab trees and its thriving elephant population.

Upon arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, followed by a thrilling afternoon game drive. Tarangire is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and over 500 species of birds. The park’s river system attracts animals in large numbers, especially during the dry season.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to your midrange lodge or tented camp, located just outside the park. Settle in for a relaxing evening with dinner included, and enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of nature.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you’ll drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, a small but incredibly diverse ecosystem tucked at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Enjoy a morning game drive through the park’s lush groundwater forests and open floodplains. Keep an eye out for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, flocks of flamingos, and grazing buffaloes, all set against a scenic lakeshore backdrop.

A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park’s designated sites, followed by a short final game drive as you make your way out of the park. You’ll then return to Arusha Airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel or resort, concluding your whirlwind Tanzanian safari.
