2 Days Mount Longido Climb – Best Short Trekking Adventure in Northern Tanzania

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha to Longido village. Upon arrival, you will complete park registration and meet your local Maasai guide for a briefing about the route and safety guidelines.

The trek starts through open savannah plains where you may encounter wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, dik-diks, and various bird species. As you ascend, the landscape gradually transitions into lush montane forest filled with indigenous trees and unique plant species.

The hike to the overnight camp takes approximately 3–4 hours at a steady pace. Along the way, your guide will share insights about local flora, fauna, and Maasai traditions.

Upon arrival at the forest campsite:
• Tents will be set up by the support team
• Enjoy a freshly prepared hot dinner
• Relax under the peaceful mountain atmosphere
• Overnight camping on the slopes of Mount Longido

• Kenyan plains stretching toward Amboseli

Afterward, begin your descent back to Longido village, which takes approximately 3–4 hours. Upon arrival, you will transfer back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
