3-Day Tanzania Safari: Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire from Dar Es Salaam

At approximately 5:00 am (pickup time may vary depending on your hotel), our driver will transfer you to Dar es Salaam Airport for your 7:00 am flight to Central Serengeti (Seronera Airstrip). Upon arrival at 10:40 am, you will meet your Golden Trips Tanzania driver-guide to begin an exciting game drive.

The Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned for its incredible wildlife and the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles traverse the plains, often facing Nile crocodiles at the rivers. Central Serengeti is particularly famous for abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, with over 3,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, and numerous elephants.

Enjoy a 6-hour game drive with plenty of opportunities to spot the Big Five.

Lunch: Packed picnic lunch inside the park
End of Game Drive: 5:00 pm
Dinner: Served at the lodge from 7:00 to 9:30 pm

Main Destination: Central Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The drive takes around 2 hours, with stops along the way to spot wildlife.

Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken and unflooded volcanic caldera, spanning 20 km across and 600 meters deep, covering 300 square kilometers. Explore Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner, home to black rhinos, flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds.

After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Early departure allows you to enjoy lodge facilities, including a swimming pool.

Game Drive Ends: 4:00 pm
Drive to Lodge: 45 minutes from Ngorongoro gate

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast at 7:00 am, depart for Tarangire National Park for a morning and afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famous for its biodiversity, especially large elephant herds, and features diverse landscapes from seasonal swamps to open savannahs with the Tarangire River running through it. Keep an eye out for lions stalking prey and leopards resting in the trees.

Lunch: Picnic lunch inside the park
After your game drive, transfer to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at 5:45 pm, our driver will take you to your hotel.
