8-Day Luxury Safari to Tanzania’s Most Celebrated National Parks

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to the luxurious Gran Meliá Arusha. Nestled in the heart of Arusha city, this modern hotel offers incredible views of Mount Meru and lush gardens. You’ll have the evening to relax, recover from your flight, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Accommodation tonight is on a bed & breakfast basis, giving you the freedom to choose from the hotel’s gourmet restaurants.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and begin the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park—a haven for elephants and famous for its towering baobab trees. As you drive through the park, you’ll witness an astonishing variety of wildlife including buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions, and herds of elephants gathered around the Tarangire River.

Later, head to the elegant Maramboi Tented Lodge, set near the shores of Lake Manyara, for a luxurious overnight stay surrounded by nature.

This morning, you’ll enjoy a unique guided walking safari in Tarangire, escorted by an armed ranger. Walking through the wilderness on foot allows you to connect deeply with the landscape—observe animal tracks, learn about flora, and possibly encounter wildlife at close range.

In the afternoon, continue your game drive in the park before heading to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. Perched on the escarpment, this lodge offers panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara below.

After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti National Park, the jewel of Africa’s safari crown. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving in the Serengeti with a packed lunch en route. Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive in the Seronera Valley, known for its abundance of big cats.

Later, settle into the luxurious Kubu Kubu Tented Camp, ideally located in the central Serengeti, where you’ll dine under the stars and relax to the sounds of the wild.

Today, enjoy a full day of game drives in various parts of the Serengeti. Explore the diverse landscapes of the Seronera region—home to leopards resting in sausage trees, lions hunting near waterholes, and endless herds of wildebeests and zebras.

Your guide will tailor the experience based on seasonal wildlife movements. After a thrilling day in the wild, return to Kubu Kubu Tented Camp for another peaceful night in the bush.

Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti to catch predators at their most active, followed by lunch at camp. In the afternoon, drive to the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll check in at the iconic Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, perched on the crater rim with dramatic views over the caldera.

This evening, relax by the fireplace or enjoy a sundowner on the terrace.

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive in one of the most wildlife-rich places on Earth. The crater is home to over 30,000 animals, including rhinos, elephants, lions, hippos, and more.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls and driving back to Arusha. Check in again at Gran Meliá Arusha for your final night in Tanzania.
