Day 1
Lake Nakuru National Park

Start the day with an early morning pick-up and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Situated just south of Bogoria and across the equator, Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley’s most famous lakes, renowned worldwide for its flamingos. This alkaline lake is recognized as one of the Natural Wonders of the World.

Lake Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary, home to over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos, though the flamingos remain the park’s iconic attraction. At times, nearly two million flamingos can be seen forming a striking pink band along the lakeshore.

Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight accommodations are at your chosen lodge or campsite.

Day 2
Masai Mara National Reserve

Begin the day with an early morning drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining places where wildlife thrives in large, relatively undisturbed numbers. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is famous for the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and the predators that follow them.

Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Day 3-4
Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch provided. The reserve is renowned for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, making it one of the few places where the Big Five can often be seen in a single morning. Many of the cheetahs are so accustomed to vehicles that they may rest in the shade beneath them or even climb onto the roof for a better vantage point.

Bird enthusiasts will be delighted, as nearly 500 species have been recorded here, including 16 types of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, 4 species of bustards (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

Day 5
From Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park

Today, you will transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border. The transfer takes most of the day, but much of the journey includes exciting game drives—morning in Masai Mara and afternoon in the Serengeti.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive en route to your tented camp.

Note: Accommodation can be upgraded to more luxurious options at an additional cost or adjusted to more economical choices for a price reduction.

Day 6-7
Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park, renowned for the Great Migration, offers spectacular game drives as you explore the crater highlands and take in the views from the rim. Beyond, the vast Serengeti—meaning “endless plains” in Kiswahili—unfolds before you. This 6,900 sq miles (18,000 sq km) park is home to over 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas roam freely, alongside smaller animals like rock hyrax and monkeys, with nearly 500 bird species recorded.

On the second day, after breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park, covering both morning and afternoon sessions. There is also the option to visit Olduvai Gorge or take a balloon flight over the plains.

Day 8
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start the day with an early morning safari before breakfast to see the animals at their most active and enjoy a breathtaking sunrise. After the game drive, return to the camp for brunch, followed by a transfer to Ngorongoro.

With walls rising 2,000 ft high and a crater floor covering 102 sq miles, Ngorongoro is often described as a natural Noah’s Ark. It is home to nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa, including the rare black rhino, and has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the planet. The crater features rivers, swamps often shimmering with flamingos, forests, and open plains. The large bull elephants here develop impressive tusks, nourished by the mineral-rich volcanic soil and abundant grasses.

There is also the option to enjoy an afternoon walking safari in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 9
Ngorongoro Crater

Very early in the morning, descend to the crater floor for a full day of wildlife viewing in one of the most remarkable places on Earth. Stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake, then continue with afternoon game viewing before driving up the steep crater road and transferring to Manyara for your overnight stay. Alternatively, you may visit Tarangire instead of Manyara, which is particularly recommended from June to September.

There is also the option to visit the Oldonyo Sambu Maasai Village en route to Manyara or Tarangire.
