Your journey begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip in Central Serengeti, your experienced safari driver/guide will welcome you and give you a briefing before you head straight into the wild. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the Central Serengeti, a region teeming with wildlife. Start your day early with a morning game drive while wildlife is at its most active. After witnessing another incredible sunrise over the plains and perhaps spotting predators on the hunt, return to your lodge for breakfast, or take a packed meal with you as you continue your journey. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying more wildlife sightings along the way. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you’ll settle in for the evening. After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas and hosts one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including elephants, buffalos, hippos, hyenas, lions, and the elusive black rhino. A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot within the crater. After ascending back to the crater rim in the early afternoon, you’ll drive to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar.
