After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you’ll meet your private guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania’s largest elephant populations and dotted with ancient baobab trees. Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

Approx. drive: 4.5–5.5 hours (with game viewing)
After breakfast, drive toward Serengeti National Park, the crown jewel of African safaris. En route, you’ll stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim for a panoramic view—one of the most epic vistas in Africa.

As you enter the Serengeti, you’ll experience the transition from volcanic highlands to endless acacia-dotted plains.

In the Serengeti, expect to see:

• Large lion prides and solitary leopards in sausage trees
• Cheetahs chasing gazelles in the open plains
• Migrating herds of wildebeest and zebra (depending on the season)

This is your day to explore Serengeti the way you want. Choose a sunrise drive followed by brunch and relaxation at the lodge, or a full-day adventure with a packed picnic in the wilderness.

Start the day with an optional sunrise game drive, followed by breakfast. Then, head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the most intact caldera on earth.

As you ascend to the crater rim, the landscape transforms into highland forest. You’ll check into your crater-edge lodge in time for a sundowner.

Begin the day early with a descent into the 600-meter-deep Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Eden.” This volcanic caldera is home to nearly every species found in East Africa, including the endangered black rhino.
