Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins after breakfast with a quick stop in Arusha town for any final supplies before driving to Tarangire National Park. With a picnic lunch in hand, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive in a park famed for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and a rich diversity of wildlife.

Tarangire is part of a vital migratory route for animals like wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, especially in the dry season. After the game drive, you’ll continue to Mto wa Mbu, a small town near Lake Manyara, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a budget camping site.

An optional visit to a Maasai village is available along the way (entry fee $10–$20 USD). There you can experience the culture of one of East Africa’s most iconic communities.

Arriving in the Serengeti by late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a thrilling sunset game drive in the Seronera region—famous for its predators and large resident game populations. As dusk falls, you’ll head to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under a star-filled sky.

You’ll return to camp for lunch and then begin the drive toward Ngorongoro, passing through the savannah and continuing your game viewing along the way.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Simba Campsite, located on the crater rim, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night. Be prepared—wildlife often roams the campgrounds, making this a truly wild experience!
