Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to the Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa in Arusha. Arusha is Tanzania’s safari capital and a lively city nestled at the base of Mount Meru. After settling in, enjoy an afternoon city tour where you can explore bustling local markets, including the Maasai Market, famous for colorful crafts and jewelry. You will also visit the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre and the Arusha City Museum to get a deeper understanding of the diverse Tanzanian cultures. This relaxed day serves as a perfect introduction to Tanzania before your safari adventure begins. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Following an early breakfast, depart from Arusha around 7:15 AM for the approximately eight-hour scenic drive to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stop briefly at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for breathtaking views.
