Your adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic 6–7 hour drive from Arusha to Central Serengeti, passing through rural villages and the Ngorongoro Highlands. A stop at the Ngorongoro Crater Viewpoint provides a stunning panoramic glimpse into the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera.
Upon arrival in the Serengeti, check in at Osinon Camp, your midrange tented accommodation nestled in the heart of the central plains. After a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll likely encounter lions, elephants, zebras, and other abundant wildlife. The Seronera region is particularly rich in game due to its permanent water sources.
Return to Osinon Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight under the starry African sky.
Wake up to the sounds of the bush and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off for a full day of exploration in Central Serengeti. Known for its wide-open plains, the region offers excellent chances of spotting cheetahs, leopards, and large herbivore herds, especially near the Seronera River. You will enjoy a packed lunch in a shaded area, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. Continue your game drive in the afternoon, covering different areas of the park as you search for more wildlife.
Return to Osinon Camp in the evening for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, check out and begin your drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a journey of about 4–5 hours. Upon reaching the crater rim, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unmatched concentration of wildlife.
Enjoy a game drive on the crater floor, where you’re likely to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, along with hyenas, hippos, wildebeests, and flamingos. Break for a scenic picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by lush grasslands and wildlife.
After lunch, ascend the crater and begin your drive back toward Arusha. Weather permitting, stop en route for a magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro—a perfect ending to your Tanzanian safari. Arrival in Arusha will be in the late afternoon or early evening.
